The house

This beautiful stone house was constructed around 1820 as part of an estate for the breeding of mules for Napoleon's army.
The house is set in a small park, edged by a mill race. A small landing for boats gives access to the river Boutonne and easily accessed by foot or cycle, are the forests of Dampiere, Chize and Aulney.

Having been extensively restored by the present owners, this family home now offers guests, one single and two double bedrooms, all ensuite. [Extra beds are available if required.] Guest are also offered the range of Bed & Breakfast, Half or Full board.  Special rates are available for guests who wish to book for the week. Please contact us for more details.

There is a comfortable sitting room and meals are taken in the dining room, or alfresco as required. Guests also have a selection of games available, including croquet and of course Boulle - perfect for those balmy evenings. Well behaved pets are also welcome. (Please note we have chickens, horses and our own well behaved dogs. We have a large but unfenced garden.)

Manoir Angle is proud to inform you that all meals are home made and ingredients are either grown in our organic garden, or acquired from local farms and markets.
